Johnny Nicholas

Spent the weekend in Fredericksburg. Saturday evening, ate early at Hill Top Cafe. Johnny Nicholas came out and played 4 or 5 songs while we were there. My wife told our waitress that our 4-y-o daughter walks around singing "Broke Again", so she told Johnny, and he played the song for us - every foot in the restaurant was moving. We drove home listening to "Too Many Bad Habits".
Also picked up his newest cd "Rockin' My Blue to Sleep". Its a cool concept. He picked out some of the old blues 45s on the restaurant juke box and re-recorded them. His band for this, the Texas All-Stars, is just awesome. A couple of good contributions from Marcia Ball.

The only thing better than Johnny's food is his music.
