Fast Eye Jackson....
I figure if anybody has ever heard of this guy, it would be mannish or Mysterblues. I heard a song by him on the radio last night. He was playing a standard guitar. I don't remember hearing any other instruments because I was paying so much attention to him.

Jefslat, I live out in the country so it's quite possible there could have been banjos playing off in the distance.
I'll try and look some of his stuff up at Hastings. I'm too scared to look anything up on KaZaA right now. |

Thanks, mannish. It sure sounded like the DJ said "Fasteye" so it's all his fault. I'll check that sight out. |

Vasti is from right here in Mississippi. I think that he lives in Hattiesburg now. He plays in Jackson regularly. Great with Patrice Moncell. I think that he grew up in Jackson.
Like most good blues artists, he is relatively unknown--unless it is in the blues world or die-hard fans. Also, check out Eddie "Mississippi" Cotton--the Mississippi Cotton Club (band).
