has anybody used this cutter???

I came across THIS cutter, and was wondering if anybody here has ever used one. I don't recall ever using a cutter with only one blade and i have no idea how they would cut, but this one seems like a pretty cool piece.

I haven't seen that before, but it certainly looks cool. Most folks dont like single blade cutters as they tend to crush the cigar during the cutting process. I have had that experience with the ones I tried.

Haven't tried it, but at that price, I'd buy a couple of Palios and be set for a couple of lifetimes...

Exactly right. If you are ever stuck with using one, place the cigar against the far side of the cutter (away from the blade), and be quick and decisive with your cut. Won't be perfect, but it will do the trick.

A sharp single blade unit can work well if your blade is sharp and the cigar wrapper is tough and the construction is good (enough glue, packed firm but not too tight, etc). Otherwise, the back end of the cut will be crushed, and the wrapper will show damage.

Here is good cheap double cut unit. Not a single problem.

actually i just picked up the credo cutter from another member here. i got one of the metal body ones though. I have serious OCD when it comes to collecting things. I just thought that was a neat looking cutter, but i have no desire to own it if single blades are really that iffy. Just cool looking

An "industrial strength" single blade may be cool looking but I'll stick with my Xikar.

I use a ten year old Zino and it cuts perfectly, just like the day I brought it home.
