The right stuff?

I have an oak humidor I picked up on ebay.
It's a nice solid one and appears to be of good quality but its nothing flashy.
My problem is that the cedar inside seems like it might be red cedar, its a darker shade than the cedar in my other humi, and it also has a stronger smell. I just can't believe someone would build a nice humi like that and put the wrong cedar in it.

The humidifier is a Savinelli, and a little plaque inside the lid reads "Duca di Milano".

Any info on this humidor and also any ways to tell the difference between red and spanish cedar are very much appreciated.
