I know this is a dead horse - but I'd like to hear any recommendations on some newer QUALITY musicians that are playing. I mean, there are a few songs I'll hear on the local alternative station that are ok, but I listen to their whole album and usually come away disappointed. I mean - there used to be so many REALLY talented bands out there. I listen to the Allman bros, pink floyd,led zepplin, boston,etc., etc., even bands that I don't particularly care for their music just seemed to be such higher quality and more talented back then. This is pretty much a general concept for music older than 20 years. Occassionally I'll hear someone who has serious talent and can write/play something unique and with depth like Dave Mathews....but I haven't heard many recently...

So any suggestions on a talented musician, band playing these days that can compete w/ the great talent of yesteryear?
