Xikar vs. Palio? Thrown in a twist at the bottom.

Ok this is bad now I want a nice cutter. I have a bid on CBid for Xikar Xi2 but I see everyone talking about the Palio Cigar cutters too...

Opinions?

I use a Palio, and I find the Xikar awkward to hold and use. Based on reading the multiple threads on this subject on various virtual cigar groups, I think the majority prefer the Palio, but the Xikar lovers are highly vocal.

The two operate and feel very different, and if you have a chance to try both before buying, I would recomend doing so.

You can find several threads about the Palio. I suppose you already read this thread? LINK

I am but one of many! And yes...they know.

My testimonial is the first listed

And it contains the primary reason that I selected the Palio. And I can provide a few more reasons too upon request.
You have to hold the Palio in your hand to feel how good it is to hold. Don't rely on pictures. They don't do the cutter justice.

I'm another Xikar fan. Good product and great warranty/customer service

But then I must say that I've not used a Palio, however I have heard great things about their products as well.

I own a Palio, SAK, and Xikar. Between the Palio and Xikar, I have to recommend Palio. By no means is a Xikar a bad cutter, but thats simply my preference.

Even over a Palio, I still prefer my SAK (scissors) as the top dog.

I have an Xikar. It's nice, fits well in my front pocket without jabbing my balls, easy to use and cuts clean.

I concur. The no questions asked warranty and customer service are top notch.

I have no complaints with the ergonomics of the Xikar. My method of using it may be a little different. Put the cutter flat on the table, open it up, put the foot of the cigar in so the table keeps it flat, and then snip. Even cut every time.
