Why can't I buy Bowmore?
The local liquor store just added the 12 and 17 to their stock. They only had the Legend previously. Something about it just turns me off. Is it because I found out that McClelland's Islay is actually a Bowmore 5 year old? Is it because it starts with a "B" and makes me immediately think of my two least favorite Islays, Bruichladdich and Bunnahabhain?
I'm talking Islay Scotches with at least 12 - 17 years on them, both have a decent pricepoint for their respective ages, so I should be all over it. I have several different expressions of Islay Scotches in my home yet I can't seem to pull the trigger. What gives? |
