McCranie's tobacco blends

Picked up a few to try - Red Ribbon & Flake, Old Master, Southport and one other which I can't remember right now

Anyone smoke this brand - thoughts?

I'm a regular Red Ribbon smoker. It's a great straight Virginia. Like an aged and slightly refined McClelland 5100.

Can't help you with the others, though.

That's the one I have been smoking - looking forward to the flake --- the name of the other i couldn't think of is Sweet Savannah which sounds like it is (Peach?)flavored.

Many of their blends ARE McClelland blends. They sell 5100 as, if I remember correctly, "First Light."

I am fairly certain that McClelland makes Red Flake and Red Ribbon - both are excellent.

I have heard that from a number of sources; also that McClelland provided the tobacco for the deceased Bufflehead blends.

I believe you are absolutely correct! All of the Bufflehead tobaccos I had were also spot on.

Really enjoying the Red Ribbon -- nice clean taste with no bite.
