Gulf Coast Reunion Herf!!
 I'm pumped! I'm excited! .....and soooooo looking forward to seeing many old friends, and hopefully meeting some new ones! That's right gang, it's about time we get everyone together for a HERF back in the NOLA area. The herf will take place June 14th-June 16th. Stogie5150 has graciously offered his residence as the official herf site, which is located in Slidell.....just across the lake from downtown NOLA. TommyBB will be sending out more info and details as we go along. Guys this will be a GREAT time! We are going to try and keep everything easy & relaxed......is there any other way in NOLA????? Stogie's place will be very convenient for everyone I believe(there's a dacquri bar right around the corner  ), and there will be plenty of room to kick back light up a cigar and enjoy! Basically we will plan on having some sort of gathering at Stogie's place on Friday night 6/14, very laid back, probably cook up some fish or something, then Saturday will be our "main event". Sunday will be reserved for those who may have survived the previous two days......we will definitely kick back with a recovery cigar and drink.  An added BONUS.....we will have a guest of honor, or "Grand Marshal" if you will.....Mad Dawg!! In fact Mad Dawg is the reason for the dates of this herf, so make your plans now to attend! We will be "filling in the blanks" as we go, supplying more details as they become available. The main thing for now is to get the word out so any out of towners can put it on their calendar and make plans to attend. We don't need a headcount right now, but PLEASE, if you even think you may be able to attend, post here so we can get at least a vague idea of who may be attending. I told Jon, it can be wherever as long as we all get to sit down together and enjoy each other's company and camaraderie. It could be under a shelter at the Mississippi Welcome Center as long as we're all there, or most of us!

I'll be flying in Saturday afternoon, not 100% sure whether I'll have a car or not. I've got a couple of logistical details to work out, yes, but I'm already looking forward to it!

I'll need to get checked into my hotel and spend an hour or two at the convention center before I can shake free, but as you say, we'll work something out.

Haven't been around much lately and for that I apologize. Between work, life and some time consuming hobbies other things have taken a back seat.
I really wish I could make this event but I will just be getting home from a week conference in Vegas. I have great memories of past events on NOLA and am sorry I won't be able to make this one. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I was busy this last week seasoning the cast iron pots for fish frying/blackening...things are shaping up nicely. Jon and I have been discussing things...y'all should be worried.
Please, please,PLEASE, let either Jon or me know whether you plan on attending or not ASAP. We realize that shit happens and some will need to cancel for whatever reason. We just need to plan on how much stuff to buy for the number we have. A few people have asked me what they need to bring...we suggest whatever you like to drink, we will have some soft drinks and bottled water but bring what you like. And cigars. bring cigars....you might have a chance to smoke one or two of those... And bring your folding chairs if you have one. (only one that's not allowed to bring his is Jon, I told him if I see one thing with ROLL TIDE on it, I WILL set it on FIRE.) So be warned. Sometime in the next week or so I will be putting a map together and some half assed directions.
