I have smoked two La Gloria Cubana Wavell Maduros. The first Wavell was one of the better smokes which I have had. Although I am still a cigar neophyte, I could taste chocolate and nuts, and maybe a little spice at the end. The second Wavell I had I put out after about an inch because it tasted like a freshly mowed lawn. Does anyone know what LGCs quality controll is like? My second question is, are there any other cigars that taste similar to the LGCs?

I have found LGCs (except for the Serie R line) to be fairly inconsistent. A better choice, IMO, would be the "standard" Padron line.

jetslat is right, Padons are better than LG. Both around the same price but Padron just sem to taste better. Also the LG need more than twice the humi time than Pardons in the humi. But the LG is great with the needed nap time.
