Oliva serie V lancero
Picked one of these up on a lark at my last visit to my local B&M--definitely not regretting the experiment.
Color: quintessential "tobacco" colored, not light, not dark Aroma: Cocoa, to my nose. Lots of cocoa and sprinklings of cedar Pre-light draw: Little tight as opposed to my usual preference but by no means obstructive Palate: Robust, very full bodied tobacco and spice up front; cocoa tones i noted in the aroma much more muted in the face of flame. Utterly delicious in every way. Thick billowing smoke made the slightly tighter draw much more rewarding. Other thougths: Some people talk of tobacco smoke or cigars in terms of being "chewy"--this was totally the opposite. Envision smoking granite or marble, something so dense and robust that it has pretty much no give at all. 4 stars of 5, and now i must find more lanceros ![]() |
