New Pipes!
Hi all!
We had a pipe show at one of my local shops this past Saturday - Davidus, in Ellicott City. Heckuva show, lots of Radice, Il Ceppo, and Amorelli pipes there, from the folks over at www.rdfield.com Anywho, I picked up an Amorelli Etna pipe, and a friend of mine gave me one of his Savinelli pipes! I've smoked three bowls in the Amorelli, and it truly is a beautiful, great-smoking pipe! -John

Thats great John, This IMO is a great part of this hobbie. Finding a great smoking and eye pleasing pipe and being able to sit back and just enjoy it.

Nice pipes all! I've long thought the Il Ceppo a real "sleeper" as to value. I've owned a couple that have been great.
Sounds like a great time.

Oh gawd, here I go again!
Saturday I was up at my local shop, and was talking pipes with a friend of mine, and we both ended up getting Mastro de Paja pipes - his was a sitter he'd been eye-ing for a while, while mine has an octagonal shape to it. It's a pretty good looking pipe, and smokes well too! Then Sunday, I went to another local shop [in the same chain] and picked up an Il Ceppo - what a beauty!!! This pipe is awesome! I smoked it last night - and it's one of my cooler smokers It helps that the diameter of hte pipe is around 3.5"

uh... maybe I over-estimated it, but it's a good size Il Ceppo
It's probably more like 2.5" to 3" wide. The bowl is a larger one, but not the largest I've seen. Mind you, the widths I am stating are the total pipe widths, not just the bowl Can you imagine a 3.5" WIDE bowl!?!?!? -John
