JR's Weekly Special: CAO Trois Diamant Coronas!

Anybody tried these. Looks like a good deal, but have not tried these. I appreciate the help.

The CAO Trois Diamant Corona is a fantastic addition to the extremely popular Nicaraguan handmade CAO L'Anniversaire series. Its 5.75-by-46 Cuban corona gorda size is ideal for all three blends and, unlike the traditional CAO L'Anniversaire, the Trois Diamant is left in the round and packed in unique 24-count diamond cabinets.

The CAO Cameroon blend is an impeccably crafted cigar featuring an oily genuine African Cameroon wrapper. It smokes very cool with flavors of wood and a light, sweet spice. The "cammie" blend is a wonderfully smooth smoke.

The CAO Extreme is an all-Nicaraguan blend with a dark, reddish Ecuadorian Sumatran wrapper, which makes the Extreme a strong smoke right out of the gate. This cigar offers a white-pepper flavor with slight sweet notes and a dry, austere finish. Not for everyone - this blend is intended for those smokers who prefer their cigars with some bite.

The CAO Maduro blend is a classic, dark Connecticut Broadleaf-wrapped maduro cigar that builds to a wonderful climax. This smoke begins mildly, with tastes of chocolate and coffee that slowly build in depth and power with each puff. As you near the band, it becomes a robust maduro cigar with a heavy aroma and a long, spicy finish.

Can't make up your mind? Neither could we, so we created a special box that contains eight of each of the three CAO blends. This is one of the best cigar samplers on the market today and, for this week only, your choice of blends is JUST $59.95 A BOX! This is nearly 50% off the MSRP and a full $30 cheaper than the regular JR price. Add just $2 for shipping, and these premium cigars will be delivered to your door at one heck of great price.

I love the CAO Cameroons. But I haven't tried either of the other two.

However, I'm going to bite on this one and get one of the assorted boxes because I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the other CAOs I have smoked. That way I can have all three.

I've seen some critiques suggesting that the Trois Diamants, which are round, are lesser/different quality than the regular box-pressed lines. I think the TDs are specially created for JR? Any experienced comments on this?

Everyone at JR, CAO, and Perdomo has stated that the blend, binder and wrapper are the same and that the only difference is that the TDs are of a proprietary size and shape made only for JR.
I should have mine by Friday so testing will commence shortly thereafter..

that is an outstanding deal, and I'd actually prefer them in the round as oppposed to the extreme box press they usually come in. That is the only knock I have on the Anniversarios, the shape just doesn't feel right in my mouth. Anyway, that is a heck of a deal and if you haven't tried the CAO, jump all over this massive savings.

I got a box of the maduros during the 12 days of Christmas sale and they taste the same to me!
