Has anyone else tried Cachaça? I was at the Liquor store last week looking for some rum and I came across this in the rum area. It said "Brazilian rum" on the bottom of the label, so I thought what the heck. When I opened it I was surprised to find its something very different. While it is made from sugar cane juice it has a flavor between tequila and rum, with a distinctive musty aroma and some sweetness. It came with a drink recipe for a caipirinha which used half a lime and teaspoon of sugar, muddled, and then filled with cracked ice and Cachaça. This went quite well with a Maduro cigar (Brazilain wrapper of course).
