Bolivar Petit Corona - OSU 4/02
A truly fantastic experience! Deceivingly plain brown wrapper with minimal veins. Solid construction without soft spots. Easy light and razor-sharp burn without the need for relights or corrections. Firm draw that loosened up at about the halfway point. Gray-black ash. Started immediately with earth and raw tobacco. This transitioned into warm leather, espresso, and a hint of black cherry in the first third. The middle third brought a toasted tobacco flavor on a backdrop of rich earth, with a hint of chocolate and white pepper on the finish. The last third was richer, "chewier", and brought notes of creamy nougat and barnyard hay. All in all, this medium-to-full bodied one hour smoke was extraordinarily complex and most enjoyable. It is exactly what the Cuban experience should be! Paired well with a double espresso.
