The construction was excellent. A nice, smooth, almost tan colored wrapper that had no blemishes or wrinkles with a firm but not overpacked feel throughout. The cap was applied in the traditional cuban method but cut a little ragged. Pre-light draw was very tight so instead of getting pissed, I put back in the humi to air out for a day. Next day the draw was better but still tight (and stayed that way to the nub). Upon lighting I immediately tasted wood (the cigar you perverts) and earth. As it progressed the wood gave way to a stronger earthiness and some spice which continued to build till I nubbed it. I would say that this was medium-strong in strength. The burn was fairly even and did not require any corrections. The ash was VERY dark grey, almost black and tended to drop off fairly easily. The volume of smoke was a little thin but I attribute that to the tight draw. Overall (with my limited exposure to Habanas) this was a very nice 45 minute to 1 hour smoke. I don't know what the price of these are as it was a gift but I might just buy a box of these (or at least split one).

Nope, it was a gift, but I'll ask.

I pretty much enjoy the whole Partagas line. The PCs have the usual Partagas flavor. I'm not a PC fan, but I do keep a few on hand.

Ditto, Park Bear. Everything I've had, aged, from the Partagas line, has been excellent.
