Lighter Problem- LOW FLAME!!!

I have a dupont extend that I've had for over 2 years now. It's been in the swimming pool, and the washer/dryer and always came through with flying colors.

I went to light it the other day and the flame was really low. I purged the tanks, and refilled it hoping this was the problem. NOPE... flame is still low. If I hold it open and let it run the flame will slowly get larger, but I've yet to see the flame where it was (normal HIGH setting) for a while...

Could there be a problem with the fluid I'm using (lava) or is this a problem I need to send back to the factory to correct?
