Smoking Room Air Quality
I know this topic comes around every few years, so I thought it would be my turn to start the thread.
Finishing out the basement with a bar and dedicated theatre room, the bar area will have a game table in a corner with an exhaust fan overhead plumbed to the outside. So for those currently using an air purification device/ozone generator/filter - what are you using and what recommendations can you give? PLEASE don't post about how harmful large doese of Ozone are...I have read enough on that already. Thanks Bros!!!!

Not much action on this topic? No one is using any kind of filter/ozone generator/whatever that they love/hate?

Personally, i've been using an ionic pro turbo in the bedroom to help with my allergies. I've also got a holmes table top hepa filter unit that I have for the heavy pollen seasons... between the two, they're great. I can fry chicken or fish in the kitchen, not smell it when i get into the bedroom area at all, when the smell pervades throughout the house...

I turned half of my basement into a man cave. I smoke down there without any problems. I use a powerful exhaust fan that is located in one of the basement windows. It's the type of fan that one would normally use in a workshop. In fact, that's what the previous owner of the house used it for. I don't use any filters or air purifiers. I can honestly say that the day after smoking a cigar that the smoke smell is gone.
I don't care what type of air cleanser/purifier you use. If you don't get the smoke out you can't get rid of the smell. The key to keeping the room from smelling like an ashtray is to vent the smoke. Good luck!
