Espinosa Copperhead Corona Gorda
This a beautiful dark cigar with one binder vein showing through wrapper. The foot smells sweet and earthy. The cold draw is perfect and has some more sweetness. Tonight’s beverage is a cold Topo Chico.
Initial impressions are medium to full bodied cigar with a perfect draw and lots of smoke. The flavor profile is spicy and earthy with some white pepper in the retrohale. It has started with a canoe burn; I will try to let it settle before I attempt a correction. In the first third a sort of spiced rum flavor joins the earthy quality of the flavor profile, which is very pleasing. The burn is trying to self correct and the ash is a good deal short of solid. During the second third the burn continues to be somewhat uneven but is getting better. The earthy flavor is dominant with some semi sweet fruit flavors. There is a medium pepper note in the retrohale. Approaching the final inch the complexity of flavors remains excellent; earthy tones, cedar and an underlying sweetness. 9./10, Joe Bob says check it out.
