Dedicated River City Cigarz News and Chatter Thread! Part 1

Since we are all over the place on this board, a great suggestion has been made to keep the news and chatter concerning our beloved RCC to one thread. Well here it is! Post all news, comments, ideas, box passes, trade set ups etc under this thread. If it gets too long I will start a Part 2 etc.

Remember that the RCC (www.rivercitycigarz.com) Herf is the first thursday of EVERY month at 530p to 8p or until Floyd kicks us out

Thanks to everyone,
Greg

Hope to see you guys October 8th for the next Herf. If all goes well and the customs people look the opposite direction, I will have a "Thank You for helping to make this happen" cigar for the first 10 CW members that arrive.

BigSmoke I will try to be there Saturday. Let's talk about getting a Greater Sacramento Area Box pass going. (of course all input from everyone is welcome).

Watched MNF at RCC last night and had a good time. Floyd got some Patel 1990 in and had to buy some. There were only about ten guys there, let's put it in gear.

Mike,
nice to have you on board. Funny, Floyd did not know squat about Rocky Patel cigars until 2 weeks ago when someone gifted him one. Was that you? Obviously he liked it enough to start stocking them. Those are a very nice cigar!

Mark (aka Archiemark since there are three Marks here-Norcal Mark, Archiemark and Bigsmokecigar). Lets get together with Mark (bigsmoke) and get a box pass going of super premium or ISOM or both cigars.

My box pass is going to be some of the more budget-minded cigars, no dog rockets, but no one-of-a-kind farmrolled cigars either.

I am still a relative newbie, like to gear this to newbs like me, will update as my planned mailing date gets closer! (Still waiting for the heat to subside here in Ca.)

Greg,

I'm opened to a Sacto boxpass or maybe better going in on a box purchase.

I think October 7th is the first Thursday not the 8th.

My bad on the date. You are absolutely correct on the date it is the 7th NOT the 8th.

Mark (archiemark) what sort of cigars are you having in mind for your budget pass? You may think yourself a newbie but if you are trading RASSs I think you have evolved beyond the newbie stage
Also, Thursday lunches are doable for me from time to time. Let me know.

Mark (bigsmokecigar) what sort of box split are you talking about i.e. what cigars do you have in mind? Next Herf we need to organize a box pass and get it going. Sounds like fun. Are you still planning on being at RCC this Saturday? If so about when do you think you will be there?

Take care. If you guys have read the recent attack on me at the smokin post on the thread regarding other cigar sites on the web you will understand me when I say that it is nice to have new friends like you all here. CW definitely is a nice place to be!
