High humidity mystery
I'm trying to solve a humidity mystery, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are the facts:
---Two humidors, an Aristocrat M Plus THC and an Aristocrat Plus THC, both with humidity levels that are too high. Not dangerously high, but peaking close to 70% at times, a good 5% higher than I would like. ---Both humidors are in my office at work, where the air conditioning shuts off after 6pm and on the weekends, allowing the room temp to peak to 80+ this time of year. ---Both humis are temp controlled, set to 67/68 as max temp. As a result, even when the office heats up, the humis maintain a nice low temperature, althought they run quite a bit to do so. ---Thinking that perhaps the ambient humidity in the office was too high becuase of the excessive heat, I have a 50 quart dehumidifier working in the office, and the ambient humidity is approx 40%. ---Both humidors have several pounds of beads in them to help stabilize the humidity levels, notwithstanding that these are actively controlled units. ---All hygrometers are tested/calibrated using the Boveda calibration kit. So, why is the humidity in the humidors too high?? Thanks.
