Miles Davis
I have been listening to Miles for many years. The first encounter was going through my fathers record collection when I was about 10 years old and coming across a copy of A Tribute to Jack Johnson. Since then I have been hooked. I never seem to tire of listening to that man with his horn. Whether it is the cool jazz, bop, or fusion. Whatever period he is producing in, I always find a comfort in his music. It never ceases to amaze me how much emotion comes though his performances. Furthermore, I think he brought out the best in the people that he played with especially in the fusion years when he was playing with younger musicians. Whether it is Birth of the Cool, Round Midnight, Live at the Plugged Nickle, Bitches Brew, Live Evil, Black Beauty or any other album you could name, he is definately a go to guy for me. Anyone else admire this musical genius?
