As has been said, a plastic smell from using coolers is a non issue. I have several 120 qt coolers storing all of my cigars. Bought them all new, washed insides with soap and water, rinsed good and let them open for 24 hrs outside. Loaded them up and have never had s problem. I have one completely full of singles, fibers and ten packs and mazos of 20 that have been bought off of multiple sites. A plastic cooler full of zip lock bags of cigars and have never had a cigar that smelled of or smoked tasting of plastic.
