hygrometer question... please

Obviously, the hygrometer that came with my humi is vitually useless so I want to replace it with something decent. I know that many recommend the Radio Shack hygrometer but then I read that even some of these are "off". Are there other recommendations for a good accurate hygro at a price of $50 bucks (or less)?

Thanks

just go to any cigar shop and purchase a $20 digital...the shop owner will show you what they have...

Unless you buy an NIST traceable and certified hygro, you can never be sure the digital hygro you buy is dead on accurate - you still need to do a salt test....

Go to Walmart and buy an Accu-Rite. About $13.

I was looking at therms and stuff at the Mart lastnight. I'll have to see about getting one of those to complete my collection of inexpensive digitals.

Spend about $30 on a pound of beads instead of wasting $$$ on a hygrometer!

I purchased the beads last night as well as a Western Caliber III. I like the idea of having some kind of meter to let me know what's going on in there.

The Caliber III is a good choice, I have over 30 of them and they are very accurate and consistent.
