What's your favorite Small Batch?

I think mine is Knob Creek even though I love Booker's and Baker's also. sometimes Baker's does remind me of a "healthier" Knob Creek sometimes. I would not turn any of them down.

If you're talking just about Jim Beam's small batch collection then Knob Creek and Bakers are my top picks. If we're talking small batch in general (and not single barrel) Then I would also have to add; Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace, Virginia Gentleman's 90 proof six year old "Fox" bottling, and of course Old Charter's 13 year old 'Propriter's Reserve'. Oops! I almost forgot either one or both of these Wild Turkey bottlings; Rare Breed and Russell's Reserve. When you think of the fact that for $100 you can have a very nice four bottle assortment of some top quality bourbons on the market today just goes to show you how good bourbon truely is and that it is very affordable.

I like Booker's when I have money, Knob Creek when things are tighter. How much do you all generally pay for each of those?

Bookers here is in the area of $50 here in Ohio. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less.

I got a bottle of Basil Hayden from my brother for Christmas this year. Seems like a damn shame to open the bottle, it looks so nice.

Not a big drinker of anykind. Prefer a good coffee as for me this goes the best with a fine Havana. Having said that I recently researched a bit on the small batch bourbons and after all the rave reviews I was getting I decided to try a bottle of Knob Creek. Damn...this is one smooth assed bourbon. I'm now on my 3rd bottle and all I can say is this stuff is smoooooth. I'm sippin' a bit right now and it goes extremely well with the Punch Punch I'm enjoying.

I can certainly see myself unwinding with a few drinks of this and a favorite Havana after a long day in the trenches. Good stuff indeed
