Question Two-way humidifiers

I just received a cool Xmas present from a friend of mine, an Armored Humidor - A Genuine Pelican Case. This thing looks like a an 18-wheeler could run over it and use it as a speed bump. Also, it came with Boveda Humidipaks. Still trying to wrap my head around these guys....are these meant as a complete replacement relative to beads, bricks, and the like?

Here is a link I watched from Boveda's YouTube channel for reference.

What is general opinion on these?

I've been watching videos on YouTube about this type of humidifier and I see folks placing the bag on top of naked cigars. Is this really okay? Seems like it wouldn't to me, but then I think of my Armored Humi and there really isn't anywhere else to put the 2-way if it is packed full.

Do it all the time. No issue.

Those plastic travel cases are airtight and I have found that I don't even need to use any humidification device with mine. At least not for periods of a week or less.

How about these for a replacement of more traditional style humidifiers?
