Correcting an uneven burn

Lots of opinions on how to correct an uneven burn. Hold the stick with the slow burning side to the bottom, do a touch up with your lighter, cut the ash off & relight, slow your "puff rate" down a bit, etc, etc.

Try holding the cigar vertically (ash up, of course!). If you're outside aim the slow burning portion into the breeze. More often than not you'll be able to watch the wrapper burn correct itself. I noticed this a while back while smoking a stick outside at night when I could see the bright glow of the wrapper burning. Seems to work pretty good.

Any other effective methods you can share?
