Flor de Oliva-sweetend cap?

So, i have seen a few places that say the flor de Oliva has a sweetened cap, while others dont say that and simply state the taste has some sweetness.

Anyone know which is correct?

Thanks,
Sean

I smoke these quite often. I don't know. All I know it that they are a good, inexpensive cigar.

Well i assume that if you smoke a lot of them but dont know if the cap is sweetened can be construed as they aren't.

If they were, and you smoke them a lot, you would certainly notice i would think.

Yeah, you’re right. I’m smoking a Flor de Oliva Maduro right now and the tip is definitely not sweetened.

I dont think they are unless they have changed them. I have smoked many hundreds if not thousands of these over the years and I dont ever remember them being sweetened.

NOW THEN, the Drew Estate Factory Smoke DOES come in a version with a sweetened cap. I stay away from those.

The Flor De Oliva has a sweetened cap. The Maduro, Gold and Corojo do not. I haven't smoked any of these in years and other than being light for my taste I don't remember the sweetened cap on the FDO regular to have much impact on the taste.

Yeah, i assumed that if only the cap was sweetened that the small amount left after cutting would be too little to have much impact on taste.

I have just tried various sweetened, infused, flavored, etc cigars that a CNA here prefers and has given me, and they just aren't for me.

I have an Acid 1500CC in a glass tube with about 2 inches of tobacco for padding I assume, that I was given by another vet here who i gave a Marine Corps banded cigar that he is keeping rather than smoking that I have no idea what to do with.

I can't really give it away as shipping would be well above the cost of the cigar, and the CNA can't take it as staff aren't allowed to accept gifts.

ETA: looks like they range from $11-$13 surprisingly, so i can likely ship it for less
I'll have to do some investigation and if it looks worthwhile for the cost of shipping, I'll post it in the market forum

That's interesting, because I only smoe the Maduro, Gold, and Corojo. I don't smoke the regular FDO because I never really liked it. Wonder if that had to do with the sweetened cap?
