So what is happening in your sports among your teams?

Stuck living with my mom in a caregiver role, I am watching a lot of Stanley Cup playoff hockey, I am noting quite a few exciting, overtime games this year. Best team in the regular season got swept in the first round.

Islanders got swept in the second.

I did not watch the Kentucky Derby but saw headlines about a disqualification of the winner, and comparisons to the Saints no-call against the Rams.

Brother Martin Crusader lacrosse (where my son played for three years) FINALLY, after six years of having a lax program, beat the vaunted Jesuit Blue Jays 6-2 yesterday to make the state final four in Lafayette, next weekend.

Did not see the result to be honest. Tiger lax got beat in the dirst round of the MCLA national tournament by Cal-BerkLeft.

Then there is the entire Christian Dawkins court case that happened and has resulted, so far, in an NCAA investigation of Arizona basketball. Now Zion Williamson and his family are key players in all this but Duke, and Kansas are being ignored.

LSU and weakling AD (thankfully FORMER AD) Joe Alleva go running scared because ONE Yahoo! article stated they had LSU MBB coach Will Wade on a wiretap recording. No one else head this but Dawkins' defense team, and yet Joe "Duke Lacrosse" Alleva suspended the coach for damn near a month, the SEC Tournament, and the NCAA tournament. Wade was not even mentioned charged, accused, whatever in the Dawkins' trial, he was only a subpoena'ed witness to start with.

ANOTHER overtime game, last night in the Stanley Cup playoffs, and St. Louis beat Dallas despite a career game from Stars' 'keeper Ben Bishop who saved 52 out of 54 shots-faced. Yeesh.

Brother Martin loses to St. Paul (can't stand them, dirty...) in the state championship on Sunday, 8-3.

New Orleans Pelicans win the NBA Draft Lottery last night. Conventional wisdom says that Zion Williamson is that first pick.

Sports social media and the ESPN complex are already abuzz about how disappointed he looked when the Pelicans' game out of the hopper.

Braves are coming together offensively and in the field.

I'm looking forward to hot weather, as they always get better in the heat.

However, ownership and management must seek out better relief pitchers, and perhaps a front line starter.
