Update for my humidity problems. (Heartfelt to the rescue)
I couldn't keep my humidity stable in my small humidor that I keep at work. If I only used the humidifier that came with the humidor, humidity would drop to 60%. I had to put a cup of distilled water in the humidor but after hours when the AC is shut off, humidity would creep up well past 70% putting me well in the mold danger zone.
So I took the advice from this thread: http://forums.cigarweekly.com/viewtopic.php?t=149034 Yesterday my package from Heartfelt arrived and I threw in a small tube of 65% RH beads. This morning I checked and RH was a reported 68%. Just for fun I opened up the humidor and let it air out until RH dropped to 60%. I closed it up and let it sit for an hour. When I opened it, it was back to a reported 68%. Just friggin awesome. No more playing around almost daily trying to keep humidity stable. |

As soon as I decide on a permanent humidor setup...I'm going to get those beads too.

Nice All you have to do now is remember to use only distilled H2O and to check for fluctuations in winter. I'm in the Northeast, so in the summer, I have to add water, in the winter, it's constantly. Where you are in the country may differ. This was easily the best advice I got when I joined here and got serious about cigars.
