5 Vegas Shorty
Short cigar, short review.
I've been looking for a decent 20-minute cigar, and learning that 5 Vegas produces a long-filler, handmade mini-torpedo (4.25" x 40RG) was enticing enough to make me pick some up from cbid. The format is cool to begin with, and the Honduran filler is nice, but the small ring gauge of this little firecracker really lets the spiciness of its Cameroon wrapper shine. Smoked slowly - as narrow RG cigars ultimately must be - the Shorty goes up in about 20 minutes. It isn't the most complex cigar on the planet, nor does it change a lot in flavor profile as it burns, but it is a pleasant, medium-bodied, quick smoke that gets a BIG boost from that wrapper. Shortys come 8 to a tin, with 5 tins in a box. A good bet for a quickie, IMO. Recommended!
