Two pipes floated into my house.
One identified as a 'royal duke of Dundee ' or something like that, bought by grabow in fifth something. This this is fifties or earlier, the company appears to go back to the thirties. Call it a bent billiard. It has layered aluminum and black at the stem. It has a carburetor on the front bottom?
It's in the natural tan with a bit of figure and some nice coloring. there is a very small repaired flaw in the briar I think. It's darned near unused. I'm going to tentatively date it to 1950? This kindle takes terrible photos, maybe I can post one later. Any thoughts, comments or interest? |

I'll do that. This one is a bit nicer than mass market with much nicer wood, hence the natural finish. My wife thinks that it might be valuable, but... She's kind of odd.
The second one is essentially almost as good as a cob pipe. Ick. |
