Got a thought.
Reading about closets got me wondering what would be an effective way to cool one. The best thoughts I came up with would take quite a bit of work and hard thinking, but it should work.
Obviously, a person could use one of the induction type direct electric cooling bars. I wondered, though, about compressor based devices. For example, a dehumidifier could be turned into a heat pump, by separating the condensing and evaporation units onto two sides of the wall, and I'm sure that a minor adjustment could keep the thing from cooling and condensing out the atmospheric humidity. A small fan, at the least, could keep the air circulating so rapidly that condensation would not occur. Obviously, someone would have to wire a thermostat into the circuit instead of the humidistat. What first came to mind was one of the chilling units that are used in drinking fountains and water coolers. It should be large enough, but how easily could one be converted? |
