CI Legend Orange Label

This is another cigar offering from CI, made by Rocky Patel. I smoked an orange label before with one month of aging on it and was not impressed. This one has about five months aging.

Prelight - The good looking Corojo wrapper looked very inviting. There were a few noticeable veins but nothing to large. The wrapper had small black spots throughout it, not sure if this is normal for a Corojo. The prelight puff made me think this was going to be a good cigar. Tasted a sweet coffee taste.

Ash/ Burn - The ash was firm and solid. It stayed on the cigar until I tapped it off at the one inch mark. It stayed solid throughout the cigar. The burn was a little ragged but not to where it caused a problem.

Enjoyment Level - I was a little worried about this cigar due to my prior experience. This doubt was quickly erased once I lit the cigar. This cigar was full of flavor. I noticed a sweet coffee taste with a little leather thrown in. It was never harsh even at the end. I say it was medium bodied, smooth and kind of creamy. Every puff delivered a great amount of smoke which help keep the pesky bugs away. I enjoyed this cigar so much I nubbed it. This is the first cigar I have nubbed in about six months.

Conclusion - I must admit I was very surprised by this cigar. It really has improved with age. I now wish I had another one to see which cigar was the true offering. I would not hesitate to buy this cigar again, as long as I didn't mind waiting while it aged. Aging really does improve this cigar. Before this cigar I have tried all of the other CI Legend cigars and found all of them less than worthy of their price. This makes me wonder if the ones I have(black label, red label, purple label, white label, and bronze lable)left will be as good now that they have some age on them.
