I just acquired a Poppery numero dos and have been looking at getting a sampler of green beans from CBC in the half pound packs, maybe 5 or 6 types. I searched around for previous posts on recommendations, but I thought I'd ask anyway, so:

Can you recommend some varieties of green beans to try for a relative newbie? Here's a little background. I'm not a huge espresso drinker (give me time, I'm still new at this) but I have used a Bodum FP for a couple of years. I can't stand the coffee made at Starbucks and other places, because it tastes burnt to me. I like strong coffee, but I take it with cream and sugar...

All suggestions appreciated!
