question on humidification devices

hey guys, i just picked up a new humi (this one actually http://www.jrcigars.com/index.cfm?pa...HU150&type=hum), seasoning it right now. but i'm still a newbie and was looking for some advice on humidifcation. right now i have small desktop humi (15-20 capacity) and i had trouble maintaining steady humidity using 50/50 solution and distilled water in a little hockey puck humidifier.

i was at jr, and they had this product http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Merchan...de=humidifiers
and beads that look just like these http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Merchan...de=humidifiers only made by madelaine.

has anybody used this stuff, and if so how does it compare to other beads out there (especially viper's stuff)?

any advice would be appreciated.
