Big Puros Indios
I'm not sure whether I smoked the Bronco or El Gordo that Jose sent, but it was a big mutha I smoked Saturday. As I got ready to mow, I reached for a long-lasting outdoor smoke. The Puros Indios would fit the bill, so I grabbed one and reached for the double guillotine. Yikes, it won't fit! Ok, so I pulled out the trusty Xikar from its leather home. Ahh, just fits to the shoulder, that'll do. It clipped nicely and had very good pre-light draw. Construction was solid with no blemishes. I walked outside and lit the stick easily, and never required the lighter again. It burned evenly and well for an hour and a half. The flavor was nice, maybe coffee and nuts, medium/full. I've never cared for Puros Indios, honestly, something metallic or 'off'. But THIS cigar changed my mind; it was different! I enjoyed it fully until it was too short to hold comfortably. Afterward I was a bit buzzed, though I never noticed it during the smoke. The blend of this cigar is right on; I just hope they make some a tad smaller. I'm not always in the mood for a big 'un. Thanks again, Jose!
