Before you add any water, take into consideration if you are trying to lower your humidity level. If that is the case, don't add any water, and monitor the level for a couple of days. The beads will draw out the additional moisture in the air.
Also you cannot add to many beads, it won't hurt, based on what Mike said at BH.
