It holds 5 smokes.
When I travel I typically carry all my Cigar Caddies with me in carry on. Depending on the voyage I have some combination of my 2 ct, 5 ct, and 10 ct. Likely all 3. Put them in my back pack with cutters and I have never had a problem, even coming into the country from Mexico. I think they would be an easy grab out of checked baggage.
