"New" La Rosa Especial
La Rosa Especial
F1 Hybrid (40 X 5.5) I bought a 5-pack of these from JR last week as I am curious about the new offering. Great looking and oily dark brown wrapper. Moderate veining. Top-notch construction, felt solid in the hand with a perfect draw resistance. The prelight draw had an earthy flavor to it. The burn was not perfectly straight, but totally satisfactory, and produced a good volume of smoke. The smoke was a solid, rich tobacco flavor with a little toastiness to it. It was a full flavored cigar but not overpowering. The character didn't change much as it burnt down. I think, however, these cigars are going to need some nap time before they'll show what they've really got. I'm going to put my remaining 4 away and try one again next summer. A year from now I'll bet they'd be just great. If you are a fan of no non-sense, full and straight-tobacco flavored cigars, you'll want to give these a try. The price is sure right. |
