Decided to make a thread for it, so it doesn't get buried.

The first three are right together, and are within walking distance of a Sams Club and WalMart.

Homewood Suites by Hilton

Okay, this one is not too far from the other two, maybe a mile. Nothing much of note near it. Still a good safe area though.

I would say all four of these are about 5 miles road travel from my front door. As the crow flies, about a mile...but we aren't crows...

Thanks for the info Keith. Guys, just so you know (for those who have never been), Slidell is a "small town" right off the interstate (actually TWO interstates)......easy and convenient to get around in, and convenient to NOLA CBD as well.

Looks like the Shultz' are staying at the Homewood Suites, if it matters to anyone. Most expensive one, I'm sure, as the Princess.........

Ok, the "suites" are $135/night, average about $150 with tax and title per night, for comparison purposes.
We're coming in Thursday and staying 4 nights.
