Kind of a strange question...Puccini was a composer, best known for what many consider his masterpiece, La Boh¸me. Bocelli is a tenor. To my limited knowledge, he doesn't compose professionally.
Correct me if I am wrong. It wouldn't be the first time and opera isn't really my strong suit. But when it comes to opera, I prefer Verdi, especially La Traviata.

Best "unkown" tenor out there - Drew Alan Slatton. Blows the Italian fat boy (Pavarotti) away. Coming soon to an opera house near you. Of course, I'm not biased at all, seeing that Drew is my brother... (but he really does kick serious opera ass)
IMO, Puccini operas lack a certain "depth" that is available from Mozart, Wagner (if you can freaking stay awake... ) and Bizet. All just IMHO, but you really should go see Drew now if you get the chance while the tickets are still "reasonable"...
