Stokkebye's Optimum: Good starter blend?
I just recently actually started getting into pipe smoking and basically the way I go about finding pipe tobaccos is whenever I am at my B&M smoking a cigar and customers come in to buy tobacco the shop employee will leave an ounce of whatever was bought out for me to take home...It keeps it interesting and quite random...I only have two pipes...one for aromatics and one for non-aromatics (I know, not exactly rational).
The other day a gentleman came in and bought some Stokkebye Optimum...the shop guy left some aside and then after the gentleman left said it was a super light sweet aromatic and one of their best sellers. I had my first few bowls of it last night and tonight and I do have to come right out and say that I really like the stuff...it IS light and it IS sweet...things I tend not to enjoy...but I dunno, its been the most enjoyable blend so far...and maybe it's my inexperience but I think I'm gonna smoke this almost exclusively until I get bored with it...and I'd have to recommend it to anyone new to pipes, even if you are into heavy cigars (like I am) what do some of the more seasoned pipe smokers on here think of this stuff?
