Cigar tobbacco...
I have heard of people using the clipped off cigar heads as pipe tobacco. They grind it up and smoke it that way. Does anyone here do that? How does that work?

Even I'M not that cheap.
You might be thinking of smoking the STUB instead of throwing it out. I have a couple of small "tester" cobs that fit a stub nicely and have done that a few times. As a rule, I'd say cigar tobacco doesn't burn well after taking it apart. Too dry probably.

Cigar tobacco in your pipe
I would not smoke straight cigar tobacco in a pipe, but I have mixed some in with other tobacco.

I do mix chopped cigars with other pipe tobacco. I like the Acid Blondie the best.
BTW I just had a nice email exchange with Jonathan Drew about this very subject. |

One pipe tobacco I've wanted to try is the Cuban Partagas pipe tobacco. Most of my freinds are into cigars and havent been inpressed with most pipe tobaccos they've tried. However they were REALLY impressed with the Cuban Partagas pipe tobacco...might be worth a try for you.
