Corn Cob Pipes - The perfect beginners weapon.....
I snagged a free “Missouri Meerschaum” Corn Cob from Frenchy’s with my first purchase. Now I am thinking to buy a handful more – these things are great!
You can’t beat a pipe that is damn near disposable in price and smokes well. What a great pipe for the newbie pipe smoker (like myself). Over fill with tobacco and burn the bowl opening - big deal… Too aggressive when emptying a spent load and dent it – no sweat… Improper lighting technique or lighter used scorches the bowl lip – oh well… Basically you get to hone your smoking skills without worry of trashing the more expensive pipes you will want in your collection. Another up side – like the meerschaum pipes, they don’t really add anything to the flavor of whatever blend you happen to light up; thus making for good sampler pipes. At less than $2 each you can beef up your rotation count too – sweet! Corn Cobs – more than just a hygienic appliance
