Despite getting a batch of Torpedos that looked like the UPS guy had kicked around a couple days I did manage to find one or two to smoke last night.
The first one I lit up was one I had done major wrapper repair to and it showed. As soon as I got to the tear it split right down the middle and I quickly tossed it. The next one was very nice. Typical Perdomo construction and great flavor. Dead even burn and an overall enjoyable smoke. The damaged ones are going back home and a new batch is on it's way. While overall the construction on this batch was very much below Perdomo standards the torpedo I had last night was outstanding. I would like to say that there is little Perdomo can do if a vendor or shipping company screws up the product. Bottom line is the problem is getting fixed and I am sure I will enjoy the Torpedos as much as I do the robustos which look like works of art. |
