Does anyone else prefer to drink water while smoking a cigar?

I drink a lot of water to begin with, but when I smoke a cigar I like to have a nice big glass of ice water. It seems to help me spread the flavor of the cigar around...

Wow, I actually never even tried drinking water with a cigar! It is always either scotch, rum, or ice tea

Although I prefer my own fresh roasted coffee or sometimes a good dark beer, I do drink water with a cigar I haven't tried before.

Or if I have something really special, I sometimes drink water to avoid influencing the taste.

I just smoked a bolivar pc and I tryed it with just water I normaly have a coffee or a beer.
wow it was good ,I could pick out the flavors better and it left my mouth fresh for the next puff.
I might have to keep that up THANKS

I drinkn water ever once in awhile. I would rather have sweet iced tea for a non alcoholic beverage if I have a choice.

water is definitely a great choice for smoking. Drinking other things will leave those tastes in your mouth rather than solely those of the cigar. I do drink rum and coffee when i smoke, but always have a tall glass of water there to cleanse the palate.

I like having a big glass of ice water on hand while I'm smoking a cigar, especially in the Houston summer heat, but coffee is my all-time favorite cigar beverage. The flavors of a good Cuban cigar just seem to complement those of a cup of fresh-roasted coffee in an almost magical synergy.

Do it all the time. Lets the flavor (aroma) of the cigar come through unadulterated.

Being as I more often than not accompany my cigar with a liquor or liqueur (with the exception of mornings when coffee fills the bill), I find it necessary to always have some water at hand.

Good hydration is essential!
