This was my first go with any vitola from this brand.
The wrapper had just a couple of larger veins and was supple to the touch. I was a bit worried about it being fragile but it turned out fine. Took to the flame just fine with a good draw. Nice even burn, only had to correct it once. The flavors were pretty good, some leather and cedar with just a hint of some sweetness. Not a bad combo just not my favorite. I couldn't smoke it down to the band because at about 3\4's the way through it got bitter and metallic. If you let it cool it would improve somewhat but I decided to pitch it instead of babying it along. All in all not a bad smoke if you like light bodied smoke. I usually don't go for them but I would smoke another one. Maybe with the morning coffee. |
