Lavassa brick
I like Lavazza but never bought it by the brick, usually by the bag. I opened the brick. The coffee was ground into a powder. I never saw coffee ground that fine. It makes for a great espresso.

they do indeed grind that stuff quite fine. Need a good filter.

I own a Black and Decker 1 cup (12 oz.) brewer. I have used the Lavazza coffee in it and the coffee was perfect. The brewer has a metal filter that keeps the grinds from getting into the coffee.
I have also used the coffee in my espresso brewer, no problems. |

I like it, one thing to be wary of is the coffee is VERY fine and no matter what kind of filter water will go slowly through the coffee that is so fine... and that can end up with coffee spilling over the top... not that I learned this the hard way.

Although my brewer is a 12 oz. brewer, I only use 11 oz. of water. I have not had any problems with this brewer or the espresso machine.

espresso wouldn't be a problem, my problem was a full pot of water and a basket full of espresso grind... and we learn lessons the hard way best sometimes
