What does the Anejo cellophane say?

One of my local shops just got in two boxes of the AF Holiday Sampler. The cigars inside are in a different order than the ones I've seen online, and there is nothing that says "Anejo". There are some marked "Extra Viejo" or something along those lines...is that them? If not, are there two holiday samplers going around?

Take a look at the band. At the bottom it says Anejo instead of Gran Reserva and has a white stripe.

They sound authentic to me ... great smokes - perhaps the best made. Try a couple. If you don't like them ... I'll take them off your hands! There are none for sale here in New York.

Picture: http://people.ambrosiasw.com/~andrew...ollection2.jpg

from left to right:

2 Don Carlos Presidente
2 Opus X Perfecxion X
2 Hemingway Signature (Natural)
1 Flor Fina 858 (Natural)
1 Flor Fina 858 (Maduro)
2 Añejo No.77 (aka shark)

"Extra Viejo" means, roughly, "extra fine" and yes, the cigars with that on their cello are AF Añejos.

I believe it actually reads Beware: Over priced, ultra-hyped, and artificially rare cigar inside.

My spanish is a little rusty but doesn't viejo mean old or aged? Fina would be spanish for fine. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You're correct......Extra Viejo translates into Extra Aged

Yes, but it means aged in a refined sort of way... not just "old"
